Balancing cafe operations and apparel sales
last yearCurensologyWhen the Aoyama store opened, I was approached to work as a cafe staff member. I was nervous because I had no prior experience in the food and beverage industry, but I was encouraged by the message, "This is the brand's first attempt, and everyone is new to us, so let's work hard together!" So I took on the challenge. Because we only had a limited number of days until the opening, I undertook intensive training in a short space of time, relentlessly learning the ins and outs of cafe operations. My day at the cafe begins with preparing the kitchen and terrace. I adjust the espresso machine to ensure a consistent flavor every day, bake muffins, and check the taste of the gelato. I received training from our suppliers for drinks and gelato, and I serve them using the brewing techniques and best conditions I learned there. I also handle ordering. Coming from an apparel background, I took on the role of cafe staff with no prior experience, and now I simply enjoy the process of making food and drinks. It's also satisfying to serve drinks and food to customers and see their reactions right away. I also feel the impact of spreading information on social media.

Enjoy fashion and improve your mood
Three months have passed since we opened, and now I work both at the cafe and the apparel store, with a ratio of about 3:1. There are days when I work at the cafe in the morning and the apparel store in the afternoon. The moment I feel most fulfilled at work is when a customer likes the outfit I suggested and buys the whole outfit. I'm happy to have customers who trust me, and it makes me feel rewarded that I'm doing the job. I usually make it a priority to enjoy fashion. Wearing clothes that make me excited improves my work performance. I also make sure to eat what I want, get plenty of rest, and maintain a good work-life balance so that it doesn't affect my work. I believe that if I enjoy myself first, that passion will be transmitted to my customers.
A fun and growing environment
Curensologyis an appealing brand with a well-developed worldview and concept. The director carefully explains to all staff each season the theme, sources of inspiration, and even advice on how to wear the clothes. Good communication with the designers and headquarters staff means that feedback from the field is easily heard and responded to promptly. Many of our customers are fashionable and passionate about the brand, and the Aoyama store in particular is home to many highly sensitive customers, making it an environment where you can have fun and grow. When we explained the concept of the cafe to them, they liked the comfortable atmosphere, and we now realize that we are able to share our worldview, expanding from the fashion to food fields.

Communication is important in a new environment
I originally wanted to work in the fashion industry, and I was attracted to Element Rule because they value manufacturing. After listening to a company explanation and visiting the store, the personalities of the employees and the atmosphere of the company were what made me decide to join the company. Soon after joining, I was appointed as an opening staff member.CurensologyI was assigned to the Shinsaibashi store. At the time, I still had no skills, and on top of that, it was tough because I was meeting all the staff for the first time. When I experience a new location or business model, I make sure to be honest about things I don't understand and ask those around me. Also, it's easier and more fun to work with people I know to a certain extent, so even though I'm quite shy, I try to communicate. I've been transferred from Kansai to Tokyo and changed brands, and although I get nervous every time, I always feel that I'm truly blessed with the people I work with.Curensologyis a workplace where you can learn a lot from discerning customers and seniors. If you love fashion and enjoy anything, we encourage you to take on the challenge.
